| Hunnewell Valley is a historic New England valley with the Carrabassett River flowing through the big valley. For snowmobiles it is a land based event so you never have to worry about how thick the ice is, just have to hope the weatherman sends you good snow. Plenty of safe parking, bleaches, night lights and hot concessions.
Hunnewell Valley is not Rock Maple style racing (Rock Maple puts on great events), but rather a place for novice and expert riders to come and enjoy a weekend of family fun together. We even have a series of events just for Kids. Our sno-cross track is a motor cross track and may the best rider win. Our Drags and Radar is on the same track we use in the summer for Sand Drags. It is 300 ft with about 700 ft of shut down. You have to be fast and quick to win but because the distance is shorter than most, you don't have to worry as much in either blowing an engine or having an accident. Top speed on the strip in the past has been just over 70 mph and that is fast for 300 ft. So get your sleds ready. We do something different too - the Long Jumping Contest for Snowmobiles - we use the same steel jumps that are used in the summer for the Monster Truck Long Jump. So come see what you can do. Because it is winter, there is no camping on site. Check out some local warm places to stay. You can either trailer in or ride in on the trail to the event. See you all on Feburary 11, 2006.
